Crew SC were to play a part in Dom Dwyer deal which was to include Nemeth.

Nemeth to Kansas City via Columbus looks like a done deal. Just waiting for an acceptance on buyout clause with Qatar club.

According to The Kansas City Star the Columbus Crew were likely to be included in the Dom Dwyer headlines on Tuesday.

Columbus holds the number one allocation spot that Sporting KC needs to re-acquire Krisztian Nemeth.

Keep that in mind when you read the following:

The original trade proposal was actually even bigger.
Sporting KC was set to acquire the rights to forward Krisztian Nemeth in the same trade Tuesday before a snag squashed it, sources told The Star. That deal would have necessitated the inclusion of a third team.
Nemeth, who spent 2015 in Kansas City, is engaged in ongoing discussions with his current club, Qatar’s Al-Gharafa, about his buyout clause, the source said.
Until that situation is settled, Nemeth cannot return to MLS.
Regardless, I doubt OCSC would have much of a point in this deal between Columbus and Sporting KC.

I'm sure the deal is still on the table as is and is just waiting for the buyout clause to be figured out.

I expect some headlines next Monday or Tuesday.
