Former Crew Pogatetz Finishes Career Back In Austria

Back in Austria with Lask Linz

Pogatetz would not want to miss his time abroad he stated this past weekend. The results are positive: "It was a very long time. But I enjoyed every single station. Not every stay has been successful, but on the whole it was a great life experience - especially the time in America."

The 61-time player of the Austrian national team played abroad for Spartak Moscow, Bayer Leverkusen, Middlesbrough, Hanover, VfL Wolfsburg, West Ham, Nuremberg, Columbus Crew, and finally Union Berlin.
But in the last few years the desire to end his career in Austria has grown steadily. "You do not think so much about what will happen at the end of your career. But the older I became, the more I played with the idea of playing in Austria again," admits Pogatetz.
"It would be very surprising if another station were to be added. I think the LASK will be the last club in my career."
