Cameroon won 2-0, which ends Ghana's first chance at AFCON gold since 1982.
Crew SC's Harrison Afful had perhaps one of his best games for Ghana in the tournament. Could be debated as he was solid throughout the group stages. But, Afful definitely had more of an impact than he did against DR Congo in the quarterfinal.
Afful was impactful early on defensively. 10 minutes in, he had a goal line clearance that kept it 0-0.
Then Harrison got going offensively as he served up two delectable platters for Jordan Ayew, one each half. That the striker could not finish.
I believe one of the two should've been finished, to keep Ghana in the game at 1-1.
Won't say both.
The 1st one wasn't quite the best angle.
The 2nd was a bit tricky to adjust to.
But, that's soccer.
Hopefully in 2019 Afful can have another say for Ghana with Mensah, Abu, and Abbukar.
And maybe Tchani could get going for Cameroon. 🖒🖒
