|Crew SC's Afful played full 90. Played well.|
Avram Grant made two changes to his Ghana starting XI before the 1-0 opening win today against Uganda.
Leceister City star Daniel Amartey was partnered with John Boye, dropping the Crew's Jonathan Mensah to the bench.
The other move was in midfield as Thomas Partey was favored over Afriyie Acquah, link here.
The Columbus Crew's Harrison Afful did play the full 90 minutes.
His defense was solid, no mistakes or bad touches. As well as one nice free kick cross that should've been goal number two for Ghana (If you scroll to 12:58 in below video).
Afful's cross was about all Ghana produced attacking wise actually in the second half.
Ghana and Avram Grant may praise their luck against Uganda; as the Cranes were the more dangerous of the two in the 2nd half.
Further, Ayew's penalty was very considerate by the Botswanan ref.
In addition, a shutout in game one, is also unlikely to be favorable for Mensah to work his way back into the starting eleven. We will see.
Ghana will look to put it in second gear at the same time against Mali on Saturday.
