1/10/17 Gaven, Schelotto, Hejduk's

Gaven, Schelotto, Hejduk's: Are the top five Crew contemplations of the day. If you're new to the Crew... Video example of what is a Gaven, Schelotto, Hejduk .

1. San Jose is after Darwin Quintero.. And if that doesn't work they'll trade that idea for the idea of Hertha Berlin's Salomon Kalou. But, that's if Columbus and everyone else waives Quintero's rights. Which Record MX says will be no problem:

'The Boys in Blue' were 17th place in the general allocation table, however that would not be a problem, because Columbus Crew , Houston Dynamo and Chicago Fire would waive Quintero's rights.

Why? I wouldn't.

All these defensive acquisitions and Quintero would be enough to consider us contenders again. Link.

Go for it. Sign someone that everyone else wants, for once.

2. Afful, Mensah both appearing to be starters for this AFCON.

As both started today in a warm up friendly a week prior to their first AFCON game against Uganda on 1/17.

Today was a 2-nil win against Bunyodkor, a Uzbek team in Dubai.

Mensah is #4 and Afful is #23.

3. May have a Summer friendly in 2017 against a Bundesliga side.

Off to America The plans for a trip to the USA this Summer are being worked on for Eintracht. Board member Axel Hellmann confirms with SGE4EVER.de that there are concrete considerations and conversations. During the Gold Cup, which will take place from July 6th to the 27th in the United States, where Eintracht players Timothy Chandler and the Mexican Marco Fabián will be watched. As SGE4EVER.de further learned, two test games could take place during this trip. Possible opponents: The San Jose Earthquakes and Columbus Crew. Whether the Hesse also hold a training camp or plan further activities is still unknown.

Yes please. I actually prefer Bundesliga soccer. And perhaps German teams could have a little fun with the idea of an American section called Nordecke.

4. MLS Combine Attendees Share Their Favorite MLS Squad

On Monday, MLS polled the attendees of the 2017 Combine to find out who their favorite team’s were. The winners-- New York City FC, carrying in 17% of the ballots. The Philadelphia Union came in second place with 10%, followed by a three way tie for third between Columbus Crew, Toronto FC, and Orlando City. The Seattle Sounders, Portland Timbers, and LA Galaxy came in at fourth place, with the Colorado Rapids and Sporting Kansas City coming in at 5th.

NYCFC 1st? Lol. No culture or history, just a manufactured team out of nowhere brought to us by Manchester City. Lol, they should cancel the draft because of that.

5. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

Apparently why Mensah ended up in Columbus was because of this:

And then sometimes it really doesn't, check out this story about previous Crew target Zeca. But, after being connected with us lol he's done pretty well.
