9/18/09: New Video & Other Crew Updates

Too bad Frankie didn't make a Beckham-like salary, he would make a hell of a future owner (Pic by Sam Fahmi).

**Here's a new Crewture video of the last two games against Houston and Saprissa, included are pictures, audio chants, highlights, and music from the Libertines- "Up The Bracket":

**I also wanted to mention that I bought a small video camera the other day that uploads straight to youtube, and I will be making a detailed video of the Chicago road trip.

**Here's a nice write up on MLS Talk about the Crew's CONCACAF win by Robert Jonas.

**Another nice write up on the Crew's achievement here by Brian Straus over at Fanhouse.

**The Crew have filled their last roster spot this week with no big name, but a familiar face. The Crew re-signed reserve keeper Kenny Scheoni to take up Stanley Nyazamba's unoccupied spot on the bench. Scheoni played seven games this year with USL-1 side Miami and was signed by the Crew this Tuesday. Scheoni, 25, was signed as Hesmer's new backup, because backup keeper Andy Greuenebaum is expected to have season ending hip surgery next week.

**Former Crew rookie George Josten scored two goals for the USL league leading Portland Timbers in their 2-1 win over the Cleveland City Stars on Thursday to secure the USL's Commissioner's Cup (like the Supporters Shield). The win gives the Timbers the No. 1 seed in the playoffs. Did we get rid of Josten too quickly?

Anyways, with former Crew Josten and these hard hats Portland is looking quite Crew for this game at least:
