Venezuela vs. Colombia Recap, Moreno and Renteria Paired Up

Not much to report on the Venezuelan front except that the Vinotinto's are steadily improving their game, outplaying and beating Colombia 2-1 in front of a vastly pro Colombian crowd of over 23,000 at Giants Stadium:

Neither Crew striker made much of an impact on the stat sheet, but the winning Venezuelan goal was scored by Venezuelan defender Oswaldo Vizzcarando in the 72nd minute right after both Massive players got on the pitch. The late entries by both Moreno and Renteria suggest that both Crew strikers have some work to do this fall to get back to being the first and second choices at striker. In total, Alejandro Moreno played 22 minutes for the Vinotinto replacing Giancarlo Maldonado and Emilio Renteria subbed in two minutes later playing 20 minutes of regular time.

The two who have reportedly never met before, met on the field to close off the game against Colombia forming a new attack duo in the process. The two didn't finish their new partnership up with a goal, but had their moments.

They will have more time to bond on their way back to Columbus.
