6/21/09: Crew vs. FC Dallas Post Game- The Dive

Ok, so what the hell is this?

It's the usual Disney script MLS referees follow especially against the Columbus Crew. Calling soft fouls to bring joy to the lives of opposing teams fans.

The referee thinks, well, FC Dallas hasn't had alot to cheer about in a while. So, when Ferriera falls down as Marshall hits him with his massive index finger, I'm going to blow my whistle so Inferno and Matador fans can get a minute of joy out of their lives.

Yes, I'm going to blow my whistle. Although their team nor their coach nor the teams fans deserve a gift like that.

I would love to hear the referee explain what exactly he witnessed that warranted a penalty kick and a yellow card. Probably just pity for Schellas Hyndman, that crap team, and it's crap fanbase.

  2. The penalty is crap, but we deserved to lose the way we played in the second half.

  3. You know it's not just this bad call, It's been happening a lot lately. Bad no calls, bad soft calls. Like the refs are against us. No wonder we throw shit on the field, hahaha.

  4. When is the team gonna realize that a 1 goal lead means nothing is soccer!! I am sick of watching them score and simply pull back and quit playing. Who is to blame.. coaching... players? One or two games is ok, but we have seen this all season long!

  5. Well, for starters, the team needs to actually score. You do know that our 'goal' was a gift from Dallas' Richetti - an own goal. So, even with the other team gifting us a goal we could not manage to win.

  6. Would you quit making it sound like we can't score at all? We are right near the top of the table in the East. Relax, everyone plays poorly every once in a while, even the MLS Champions. I have biggern worries if they can't beat Red Bull. Even as embarressing as Dallas is to the league, they still aren't an awful team, such as Red Bull or San Jose. Relax, we'll come back.

And as much as I hate to say it, but even though that PK does look like a dive, I would call it if I have the whistle. It appears that Marshall gets a decent push on him (not saying thats true, but from where the ref was standing, it's likely) and he falls over.
