3/14/09: I'm Starting To See A Scouting Pattern

Tom Heinemann had 2 goals and 1 assist on Thursday against St. Edwards University, and may possibly be another lock for a developmental spot. The opponent on Thursday was only a Division-II side but Heinemann's performance makes him appear as possibly this year's Lenhart. I mean he already has the hair:

Also here's a video of Heinemann in action in college at Rockhurst, found by Foosinho on Bigsoccer, start at 37 seconds:

Further, Heinemann has a very good PDL scoring record that is better then 1st pick Steve Zakuani who had 9 goals in 11 games with the Cleveland Internationals in 2008. Heinemann has been the top scorer for the St. Louis Lions of the PDL for the past three years and this last year Heinemann had 13 goals in 15 games.

Hopefully, guys like Heinemann and Grendi can come out and contribute. The Crew will need help from all 24 players at some point in the season and maybe these two could raise some eyebrows in 2009.
