2/21/09: Crew Cut Trialist Anthony Peters, Switches To D.C.

Guess the Crew didn't need all that muscle? (Pic via: Behind The Badge)

The 6'5, 205 pound centerback who netted a couple of goals in training with the Crew last week and also was called the "brightest" prospect according to Robert/Myshap's views from Bradenton, has moved to the nemesis red and black.

Brian Bliss last week said to Robert/Myshap that the Crew wouldn't be able to hold onto Anthony because he was over the developmental age. If Anthony was under the developmental age the Crew would have signed him right away.

Hopefully, the Crew haven't missed out on a gem. A good 6'5, 205 pound centerback isn't something you throw away every day. Is Elenio and Nyazamba really worth more?
