Columbus The Obvious Choice To Host USA vs. Mexico

Nice article here by Steve Davis

Columbus Crew Stadium is the meat and potatoes of American soccer grounds.

There isn't much in the way of ornamentation and fancy schmancy. Other soccer stadiums have sprouted majestically on the domestic scene, decorated with swell roofs, money-making luxury boxes, state-of-the-art video boards, etc. They even have splashy corporate names.

But good ol' Crew Stadium, the plow horse of domestic grounds, has something these increasingly cosmopolitan venues can't match: an inimitable legacy of achievement in the most important of World Cup qualifiers.
